Children and dating
Men, Women and Children follows the story of a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they attempt to navigate the many ways the internet has changed their relationships, their communication, their self-image, and their love lives. The film attempts to stare down social issues such as video game culture, anorexia, infidelity, fame hunting, and the proliferation of illicit material on the internet. But, we humans are instinctively drawn to partnering up.So chances are very good that sooner or later you (along with nearly every other divorced parent) will be dipping your toe into the waters of dating after divorce. The apostle Paul summed up the Christian attitude when he said: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
However, because of this laidback approach, people will all too often starting telling the stranger at the other end of the computer all types of things that could cause an invasion of privacy.
We recommend you guard your privacy until you know more about the person with whom you’re chatting and are sure that you’d like to take your friendship further.
When in online conversation, operate the same common sense rules that you would normally use when getting to know someone – make sure that you don’t give out private information that could be traced to find out where you live or work.
I won't go too in depth into the differences between the book and the movie.
Some characters were cut, some stories were shortened and rearranged, and the ending is somewhat less dark. The directing and acting are great, and I have zero complaints in this department.
However, I would say that all of these changes are understandable when making a two hour movie. I do have a few complaints, starting with some parts of the plot seem like they would be hard to follow if you haven't read the book.
